Court will not stop Jonathan's impeachment

A federal high court in Abuja refuses to stop the Nigerian house of representatives from going ahead with the impeachment of the president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Justice Gabriel Kolawale told the National Chairman of African Liberation Party (ALP), sponsor of the suit that since there was no impeachment proceedings against the President just yet, the court cannot hear the suit in order not to interfere in the works of another arm of government, the legislature.
